Denim & Diamonds, the most talked-about fundraising
event of the year, is back, celebrating its 10th anniversary
on May 15th, 2010 with
an "Alice In Wonderland" themed party at the Windsor Ballroom, on Peel
St.. Join us and support a great cause: Hope &
Cope, a non-profit organization that provides invaluable psychosocial
support to cancer patients & their families as they live
through the cancer experience. All proceeds will support programs
at the JGH Hope & Cope Wellness Centre (affectionately known
as “Lou’s House”) as well as specialized programs
aimed at the growing number of young cancer patients aged 18-35.
Place your bids on great items during our silent and live auctions
and you could walk away with fantastic prizes, all the while
helping young adults cope with cancer. At the end of the night,
everyone walks away a winner with one of our much-anticipated
gift bags and the official Denim & Diamonds magazine! The
party will be in honor of this year's Hope Award recipient, Phil Bloom.
The Hope Award is designed to publicly recognize and acknowledge
the vision, creativity and passion of those who make a difference,
and who, in the process, are an inspiration to manypeople whose
lives have been changed by the cancer experience. Tickets are
available for $140.00 (all guests must be at least 18 years
of age).
